Puppy PreSchool

Enrolments are now being taken for vaccinated puppies between the ages of six weeks and six months for basic training and socialisation.

In the early formative months of a puppy's life it is important that he or she learn appropriate interactive behaviours with other animals and with humans. These early lessons can help avoid a lot of behavioural problems later on. Special emphasis is given to successfully introducing children and dogs (including new babies in the household).

Each lesson begins and concludes with a puppy play session. The five basic commands are taught (come, sit, drop, stay and stand), as well as nail clipping. Discussions are held on toilet training, appropriate behaviour in the home and outside, feeding / vaccination/ worming regimes, potential dangers such as poisons (chemical, food & plant) and responsibilites such as registration, microchipping and council registration.

The classes are a lot of fun for both puppy and family (children are welcome). Each weekly class runs for about an hour and includes handouts and small gifts. Register by phoning 9752 3555 during business hours.

15th Birthday Celebrations

On Saturday 15th November 2008, the clinic celebrated 15 years of providing personalised pet care to the community. Free attractions sponsored by the clinic included an Animal Petting Farm and SnakeBusters - a reptile show featuring regular appearances by pythons and venomous snakes. There were also doggy / moggy showbags handed out, a hydrobath, and balloons for the children. A good day was had by all.

Free Weight Classes

Weight classes designed to reduce your pet's size to a healthy range are conducted free by our vet nurses.
Excess weight is not only unsightly but causes problems with joints, the heart and other organs. Enrolments are taken on an individual basis - simply phone for an appointment - 9752 3555.
